An interactive workshop that revisits the oral tradition of storytelling. This workshop focuses on the sharing and passing down of each family’s unique history and stories with their children.
Make simple hand puppets with your young ones as Kamini shares simple and effective ways of telling stories to your family.
Participants are encouraged to bring along family photographs for the session.
Storytelling is a wonderful way to bond with your child and to share some time telling each other stories. This interactive and participative workshop guides both parent and child through simple, repeatable storytelling techniques that can be replicated during the workshop as well as at home. A special focus of this workshop will be the integration of old family photographs in your storytelling.
Areas Covered:
The workshop will expose you to a variety of easy to learn stories that you can either tell as they are or adapt to suit your child. There will be simple craft activities to help you remember and recall the story and take home as a memento of your time spent bonding with your child.

About the Facilitator
Kamini Ramachandran has been instrumental in the revival of the art of storytelling in Singapore through her work in MoonShadow Stories which she co-founded in 2004. She is a founder member as well as the President of the Storytelling Association (Singapore) from 2008 – 2012. She brings a wealth of story-crafting expertise with her through her customized storytelling content creation and storytelling consultancy experience.
