A Storyteller Reads - Live Readings by Kamini Ramachandran
Storyteller Kamini Ramachandran breathes life into selected translated Singapore literary works. Come listen as she reads aloud both prose and poetry in a daylong celebration of #SingLit.
Through live reading sessions based on her video series 'A Storyteller Reads' she will perform #SingLit works translated into English from Chinese, Malay and Tamil.
Recommended for 10 years and above.

'A Storyteller Reads' is a video series showcasing translated works by Singapore writers. The six five-minute-long videos feature storyteller Kamini Ramachandran performing the English translations of selected Malay, Tamil and Chinese poetry and prose, as well as bilingual readings in Malay and English.
Writers featured include Cultural Medallion recipients K T M Iqbal and Isa Kamari, migrant poet Md Mukul Hossine, and Singapore Literature Prize winner Latha. The series also features poetry from the anthology SG Poems 2015-2016 by the National Poetry Festival. Through these short videos, ‘A Storyteller Reads’ aims to bring the richness and diversity of translated Singapore literature to new audiences.
