Monster Storytelling Session

A part of Kid Lit - But Is The Book Better series

Storyteller Kamini Ramachandran will regale you with tales of monsters from another land. Are they scary? Are they friendly? Are they real or just a dream? Come find out! After the story, Kamini will show you how to make your very own paper monsters that you can use to tell monster stories!

Date: 16 Jun 2012

2.00pm - 2.45pm

Location: The Screening Room
The Arts House

Kamini shared stories of little boys who travelled to far off lands and met all kinds of monsters!

Parents and children participated in making their own 'monsters' with craft materials provided and joined in the stamping of feet, gnashing of teeth and roaring of roars!

This storytelling session was a part of the But Is The Book Better series of movie screenings at The Arts House.

In memory of Maurice Sendak, whose book 'Where The Wild Things Are' played a wonderful role in my sons' early childhood days.
