This special workshop is customized for MUIS (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura) or the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore.

The workshop is trageted at teachers from the Youth Education Strategic Unit of Muis, as a learning and development programme. 

Storytelling is part of the Islamic education curriculum, particularly at the children and pre-teenage levels. Storytelling is used as a way to teach values to students. Most of the stories revolve around Muslim history and stories of the prophets. Songs and hands-on activities are also part of the teaching strategies.

The workshop will address the below areas:

Participants will learn the strategies of effective storytelling
Participants will learn how to engage students in learning through storytelling
Participants will explore the possibility of using various props for storytelling
Participants will know how to customise storytelling based on students’ profile
