In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War 2, the National Museum of Singapore will be organising special programmes in 2020.

This training session will focus on story tours on life during the Japanese Occupation, zeroing on exhibitions relating to air raids, rations, banana currency, Japanese language in schools and wartime kitchens in The Syonan Gallery.

Museum volunteers will also be guided to complete the visitor experience with a moment of contemplation listening to the oral history archival recordings of survivors.

This session is part of an ongoing programme for volunteer guides to develop storytellng skills for in-gallery story tours at the National Museum of Singapore.
