Storytelling for Expo 2020 Dubai

Singapore Pavilion, Expo 2020 Dubai

Virtual training for UAE-based storytelling guides and scripting Story Walk experience.

Date: 1 Oct 2021 – 31 Mar 2022
Location: Expo 2020 Dubai | Sustainability District

For Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA)

With the theme Nature, Nurture, Future, the Singapore Pavilion is an experiential journey of understanding our evolution into a City in Nature. The Story Walk experience was created to take visitors on a journey of the Singapore Pavilion featuring three magnificent cones: the Rainforest Cone, the Flower Cone, and the City cone designed by WOHA Architects with landscaping by Salad Dressing.

Trained storytelling guides bring visitors of all ages through the Singapore Pavilion, and present how Singapore’s landscape has transformed. The guides also give visitors a glimpse of the city’s resilience and how the country turned limitations into opportunities.

Amidst changes in response to the pandemic, master storyteller Kamini Ramachandran adapted scripts for the Story Walk experience and trained storytelling guides virtually.

If you’re in Dubai, the Story Walk takes place on weekdays 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
