Listen to master storyteller Kamini Ramachandran as she regales you with stories from far away, a long time ago, in a time when animals could talk and anything could happen! Join her in a highly participative session suitable for family audiences. Be prepared to enter the realm of story and be captivated by Singapore’s most mesmerizing storyteller.
Kamini Ramachandran is a master storyteller who has played a vital role in the revival of storytelling in Singapore and around the world. She is one of few contemporary storytellers who experienced a master-apprentice process of inheriting her repertoire of stories from her grandfather. Kamini has performed for both adults and children all around the world and is a highly sought after storytelling trainer, artist educator and storytelling artist. A regular at local and international festivals, The Esplanade, The Arts House and various museums, she also collaborates with musicians, visual artists and other disciplines. MoonShadow Stories is renowned for performance storytelling and focusing on storytelling as an art form.
A founding member, four-term President (2008-2012) and current Vice President (2012 – present) of the Storytelling Association (Singapore), she is also Artistic Director for the Singapore International Storytelling Festival (2012-2014). Kamini teaches her course The Storytelling Intensive at Lasalle College of the Arts, has produced World Storytelling Day in Singapore since 2005 and is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts.
She is one of today’s most unique voices in storytelling.
Suitable for ages 4 – 8 years old.
All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session.
Babies and toddlers below 4 years will not be permitted into the session.
No unauthorized video/audio recording is permitted of the sessions.
