This storytelling workshop is customized for One HeartBeat Percussion.
Their educators work in schools using music.
This workshop will address the below areas:
- Participants will discover how to introduce and incorporate music in their storytelling
- Participants will learn how to enhance the story through the use of music and sound
- Participants will develop structures of how students can play a more participative role by providing the accompanying music/sound when a story is told
- Participants will use multiple musical instrument/sounds to take on the actual storytelling-role through the use of sound-suggestion and character-mimicry i.e. rain, thunder, footsteps, screams or emotions are communicated non-verbally through the use of music/sound, and words are omitted on purpose.
- Participants will experience strategies of effective storytelling skills
