Kamini will be representing Asia as a participant in FEST 2013 in Italy

Kamini Ramachandran will be participating in FEST 2013 representing Asia.

The annual Federation for European Storytelling Conference is the biggest meeting of its kind, a unique and diverse gathering of storytelling professionals from all over Europe and beyond. Attended by Representatives of National and Regional Storytelling Groups, Storytelling Trainers, Festival Organisers, Promoters, Education Specialists, Storytelling Professionals and Funding Experts, this is the European storytelling networking opportunity.

Hosted this year by FEST Member Raccontamiunastoria in collaboration with FIST (Federazione Italiana Storytelling), the conference will take place in the Appian Park, Rome, beginning early evening Sunday 16th June, and ending lunchtime Wednesday 19th June.

Talks, discussions, workshops, presentations...
The FEST 2013 Conference contains a full programme of talks, discussions, presentations and workshops. Following suggestions by FEST Members, this year’s programme will focus on:
Storytelling and Performance – exploring opportunities for performance training and skills development
Storytelling In A Time of Crisis – funding and marketing storytelling in the current economic climate
Applied Storytelling – Presentations and examples of work involving storytelling in a social context.

Cultural Activities...
In addition, our host organisation Raccontamiunastoria have prepared a cultural feast including:
a storywalk through the historic Appian Park
a guided tour of the famous catacombs
a visit to a medieval mountain-top town outside Rome to enjoy traditional food from the countryside
an evening barbeque in the gardens of a nearby Friary.
