MoonShadow Stories has celebrated World Storytelling Day in Singapore since 2005. This year we repeated Stories Day & Night with performances for children in the afternoon followed by performances for adult audiences at night. For the adult performance, Bani Haykal provided musical accompaniment and the evening ended with audience members sharing their own stories.

Here, Kamini opens the Asian Congress of Storytelling as part of the Singapore International Storytelling Festival 2011 with this story, welcoming participants as well as invited international guest storytellers.
